"Do You Want To" (Part 2)

Ok, so now you realize that this is what you want to do. You want to change. You want to better yourself. Not for anyone else, but you. Great! Good job and congratulations. Have fun…

What? Oh, you don’t know how to do it? Not sure what to even do with you’re newly found “freedom”? First, is there anything stopping you? Is there anything holding you back from obtaining your goal; your goal of oneness with your mind, and oneness with your life?

When you take a look around at your life (figuratively) you see problems 1, 2, 3… You see, glaring mistakes 1, 2, 3… You have no choice but to see them. No, there is one thing you can do, short of miraculously come up with the solutions for them all… Mini vacations. Life hands you lemons… you know the rest. But the fact is, “Talk is cheep” and you have the responsibility to yourself and those around you to be happy. If you choose to keep hold of the problems, then you keep hold of unhappiness. Problems don’t go away. In fact, they multiply. They grow. All you can do is deal with them, On YOUR terms. Never settle on just being ok with problems being in your life. But, pick the battle field. Give yourself the advantage. Fight in the light. Fight where you know the terrain the best. Fight in a way, where you know you’ll win. So, stay rested, strong and most importantly happy.

Do you want to relax? Do you want to feel content? If so, then take those lemons and make a nice cocktail or two… Welcome to your ideal vacation spot… Put on some sun screen…

Now we can get to the meat… Changing our outlook… Part three, just around the corner!

"Do You Want To?" (Part 1)

Picking a new activity to keep your mind active is something a lot of people think is A) Foolish, B) A waste of time, or C) Overrated. When you look at your life, tell me, what is it about life you enjoy? It’s very sad that a lot of the responses that I would hear would be, “I don’t know,” or “Nothing.” What can you do to change that? Well, let’s first start by asking you, “Do you want to?”

You can say out loud, “I want to change my life!” Talk is cheep though. It’s what we do with after our words that matter. We can say that our life needs more meaning all we want. Meaning in our life is only relative to our circumstances we keep hold of. I.e.: Do I have to hold on to hate or jealousy like I do? Your life is easy to fill. Now what you fill it with… that’s a different story.

Picture a vase. It’s clear crystal and curves downward form a wide open mouth to its thin waist. Then, at about two thirds the ways down, it starts to push out to fit a much wider base. Try this. Take a large bag of marbles. Fill the vase about three fourths the way up. Then take four tennis balls and try to put them in the vase having the tennis balls reach pass the mouth. It won’t work. What’s my point? Filling you life with small thing, like hate, jealousy, money problems, looks, ex., leaves no room for want really matters. Love ones and the relationships you have with them is one. Your self confidence is another. The world is packed with petty crap; don’t let your life be the same. So, do you want to? Do you want to make your life better? How can you? ...I smell part two coming!

Ladies.... Greetings

I know... My two fans... (Aka, My lovely wife and sister-in law) it's been awhile. I've been busy. Shut up, I have! Any who, so a lot has happened since I’ve put my brilliant mind on the screen. Arizona is not backing down on the ill favored immigration law. The Suns lost the division and Lakers are in the finals with the Celtics... But I don't want to talk about ether of those things. I want to talk about my Favorite Tall, sweet blonde... Her name is Ice Vanilla-Chino!

I love me some Coffee. But, not the Burnett Bitter type. Sweet. It has to taste good. That’s the fatty in me but it’s so true! Forget tea, forget Red Bull. Tea is too weak and Red Bull makes you crash super hard. It's 4 in the morning, and I’m on my forth tall glass...

Ummmmm. Ulcers......

I see your Sunset and raise you... (Get it?)

Tucson sunsets are said to be amongst the best in the world. You have the deep purples, vibrant pinks and reds. Blues and teals sprayed in-between black clouds. It’s amazing. But, have you ever seen the sun rise in the old pueblo? The sun lighting the sky pale blue. The mountains on earth still sleeping hold fast to the midnight shine of a starless sky. Magical. So, that being said, it hard to be up still when this happens!

Night shifts, what can I say? It’s hard, but worth it. I love having my wife home taking care of our daughter. Emma is growing fast. It’s just great to know that she is looked after by such a great woman. So, I’ll take the sunrise…

I love you Jenie

P.S: At least one more game in Boston. Orlando pulled it out last night

Magic 113 - Celtics 92

It's bright outside!

NBA Western Conference Game 4: Suns 115 / Lakers 109

Wow, the bench for the Suns outscored Lakers 56-20 last night. That’s a-ma-za-zing. That game showed that Kobe Bryant, his couch Phil Jackson, and the rest of Bryant’s team are not insurmountable. A win like this brings hope to Suns fans. ‘There is at least something going good in the AZ’. With all the bad press and hot spotting in the southwest state, this is sure good timing on Nash and his crew to do well in the playoffs.

So, they tied it up 2-2. After the Basketball world "had Celtics, Lakers penciled in" (ESPN's Robert Flores). Now, what’s even sadder is the fact that no one on the west coast really cares what’s going on in Orlando and Boston. They west will win the championship. That’s a given. But who will it be.

DJ’s Prediction: Suns will loose game 5 Thursday but will take the series in game 7 with winning the last two. Frye will have an amazing role in games 6 and 7.

NBA Eastern conference Game 4: Magic 96 / Celtics 92

That’s the problem, the Magic get a win to bring the series to 3-1 with the Celtics leading, and it’s still not exciting. Where is the fun in that? The playoffs, for me, suck. Unless you have something vested in it. I got the Suns and how much I hate the Lakers. I love the Red Socks, but that’s as far as my love for the city of Boston’s sports teams go. I hate the Patriots, know very little about the Penguins, and the Celtics I really have nothing BAD to say, I’m just am not a fan.

So where does this leave our friends form the retiree capital state of the world? I’m not sure. No one thinks they are going to win this. My hopes are…. Like the rest of the world, I don’t care. GO SUNS!

DJ’s Predictions: Celtics take game 5 tonight and the Conference Championship. Sorry Orlando.

NHL Playoffs

Now, if you live somewhere that has the Verses channel, great. You must have loved the NHL Playoffs so far. If not, just so you know, the NHL Playoffs are going on. In fact, it’s down to two. Playing for the Stanley Cup are the Chicago Blackhawk’s and Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers got here with a few injuries for the first series (Conference quarterfinals), 4 strait wins to take the come back win in the second (3-0, Boston lead in the Conference Semifinals) and upsetting a bunch of hockey playin’ Canadians (Montreal Canadiens) in the third (Conference finals). Will they make it another upset and take out the seemingly unbreakable Blackhawk’s? ...No

DJ’s Prediction: Blakchawk’s sweep Flyers and take the Cup in 4.

Schedule

That's right; I’m on a schedule on my blog. Now, this is the must do schedule. But that doesn't mean I’m going to be stiff or reclusive when it comes to active thoughts or stories. (I know you were worried) If something comes up and it's not the right day... you have the idea.

Wednesday- Sports
Thursday- Life
Sunday- Movies / TV / Entertainment.

Say, why is it dark in here?

I have not seen a good Sci-Fi movie in some time now. What happened the Duvall’s and Hammels? What happened to laser’s and space ship's? What happened to "Boldly Going", and to "Whach ya talkin bout?" (.... What?) Avatar was good, but it wasn't a Sci-Fi Movie. It was Pocahontas with giant Smerf's. Everything now-a-days are bending the fold. Rewriting the book. Stepping out of the box. Great, good. But, A) Do it on your own dime (Movies at the local Harkins Movie Theater, $9.50) and B) Let's not have everyone do it. Books... How many vampire novels can there be? Games... Video or board, different system, different name, same freaking game! Creativity is down the tubes... Let’s bring it back. Blog’s are far to sedated and redundant, when you are talking about dudes and there "Reviews" of movie's and games. Give me a man blog. Give me a blog where I can get a different point of view about the Toronto Blue Jay's. Where I can find important news (to me) and find out what the story is and isn't. No more TMZ! No more Fox News! No more ESPN's Around the Horn!

Well, I can't find one. I've been looking. (Sort of…) And, sometimes you have to save yourself. Here it is. Ironically, it will be mainly women at first looking at my blog. So ladies… Enjoy!
